MacBook Trackpad Two Fingers Screen Zoom

MACBOOK JUNKIE’S TWO FINGERS SCREEN ZOOM SETTINGS: ON

  • ZOOM WHILE HOLDING: CONTROL
  • WHEN ZOOMED IN, THE SCREEN IMAGE MOVES: SO THE POINTER IS AT OR NEAR THE CENTER OF THE IMAGE
  • SMOOTH IMAGES: ON

The Trackpad Two Fingers Screen Zoom setting allows you to zoom in on any portion of your screen by holding down your designated key and swiping up on the trackpad. To zoom back out again, hold down the designated key and swipe down on the trackpad.

The way that my options are setup allows me to zoom in while holding down the control key. Once I am zoomed in at the level I want, I can release the control key and move around the screen with the mouse.

To be honest, I haven’t found a whole lot of use for this feature but I do think it is cool. If you use this feature frequently, please share your usage tips with the rest of us via the comments section below.

1. Open the Trackpad Preferences pane.

2. Click the Two Fingers Screen Zoom box so the checkmark appears.

3. Select your Two Fingers Screen Zoom Options. The options will appear in a dropdown box and are self-explanatory so I won’t go into detail here. If you don’t understand an option, go ahead and select it and then try out Screen Zoom to get a better understanding.

1. Open the Trackpad Preferences pane.

2. Click the Two Fingers Screen Zoom box so the checkmark is removed.

Now that you have established your Two Fingers Screen Zoom setting, you can decide if you want to turn on Two Fingers Secondary Tap or adjust any of these other trackpad settings:
