Since the day I received my MacBook, I have wished that the date was displayed in the menu bar so all I had to do was glance up and see it. Today I was happy to learn that because I’m running Snow Leopard, it only takes a few simple steps to make this happen. To add the date to the menu bar in Snow Leopard, all you have to do is:
1. Open System Preferences ( > System Preferences)

2. Under the System section, choose Date & Time

3. Select the Date Options box titled as Show Date

You will now see the date in your menu bar, next to your clock.
